No major damage or injuries occurred Tuesday after a grease fire at China Two on Hickory Tree Road.

Firefighters with the Midway Fire Department were dispatched to the fire at 189 Hickory Tree Road, Suite 118, at 12:27 p.m. Paul Lambeth, deputy chief of the Midway Fire Department, said firefighters arrived to find a grease fire and smoke in the building.

Firefighters entered the restaurant, extinguished the fire and ventilated the suite in which China Two is located. China Two is in the same shopping center as CVS and Walmart Express. The grease fire didn’t affect the other businesses.

Davidson County Fire Marshal Danny Ward said the grease fire would likely cause the business to be closed for about a week. He said there would be a cleanup process, and the fire suppression system would have to be restored. Ward said the fire was contained to the kitchen hood system, and little to no damage occurred to the rest of the building.

The Midway, Gumtree and Wallburg fire departments, as well as Davidson County Fire Marshal’s Office, Davidson County Inspections Department, Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and Davidson County EMS, were all dispatched to the scene.
